International Women’s Week

BIENNALE OF WOMEN IN ART AND INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S WEEK 2021

To achieve equality, the world requires the presence of women in all decision-making processes, including in the cultural sector. The world is changing and more and more people are supporting/acting on this issue. Yet, inequalities remain in many sectors such as the plastic arts sector. Therefore, the Biennale of Women in Art decided, within the framework of the International Women’s Week, to question women artists and women working in the contemporary art sector via online and/or physical interviews. Hoping to provide a key to understanding what women artists and women working in the contemporary art sector have as expectations regarding the International Women’s Week. Following these interviews, the Biennale of Women in Art will put forward these expectations during the International Women’s Week in 2022.
