Eman Hussein, born in 1986 in Cairo, Egypt, where she lives and works. Eman combines a career as an architect with her art practice, and that duality appears in her art work. She explores forms in a state of change, the transition between 2D and 3D, solidity and fluidity. Her departure point is maps, often maps of her city, where she unravels layers, deconstructs grids, blurs borders and plays with forms to spur a fictive narrative of landscapes that are yet to come.
